The Laboratory Technician assists pathologists in testing and reviewing medical specimens to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. They are responsible for preparing laboratory equipment, maintaining accurate test records, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality control protocols.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, with a bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science or a related field preferred. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a pathology technician and relevant state certifications are required.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Minimum of 2 years working as a pathology technician.
