The Nurse Practitioner performs patient admissions, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment evaluations within the endocrinology specialty. Responsibilities include conducting physical exams, ordering diagnostic tests, and coordinating care with attending physicians and nursing staff.
Requires a Master's Degree in a Nurse Practitioner program, National Board Certification, and current NP and RN licenses in New York State. BLS certification and a collaborative practice agreement or attestation are also mandatory.
Performs a variety of functions and technical procedures necessary for patient admission, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and outcome evaluation. Participates in performance improvement, research, and educational activities.
