The occupational therapist will provide comprehensive, individualized hand therapy treatment and manage patient care plans. They are also responsible for supervising assistants and aides while maintaining positive relationships with facility staff and patients.
Candidates must be graduates of an AOTA-accredited occupational therapy program and hold a valid CPR certification and driver's license. A minimum of two years of experience in hand therapy, including splinting and adult rehabilitation, is required.
In-person and online CEU Courses NOVACARE in Havre de Grace, Maryland, is seeking local Hand Therapists (Occupational Therapists) for our outpatient orthopedic center! Although a certified hand therapist (CHT) is preferred, we are willing to consider occupational therapists with at least 2 years of hand therapy experience, including splinting and splint fabrication. Additional hand therapists on staff.
Collaboration: Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management. High Standard of Care: Stay current and up to date with occupational therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception). Personalized Treatment: Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment, from evaluating and creating a plan of care to treatment and discharge. Relationship-Building: Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
At least two years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic Minimum two years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred Additional Data Equal Opportunity Employer/including Disabled/Veterans
