Position Summary
We seek a dedicated and detail-oriented Surgical Assistant to join our dynamic team at Corona Oral Surgery & Implant Center in Corona, California. In this role, you will support our oral surgeons critically, ensuring efficient workflow and delivering exceptional patient care throughout the surgical process. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient comfort and safety, with strong technical skills and a collaborative spirit.
Requirements
- Preoperative Duties
- Sterilize instruments and prepare surgical trays according to OSHA and infection control guidelines
- Set up and break down surgery rooms, including all necessary tools, supplies, and medications
- Stock rooms with supplies and monitor inventory levels
- Perform general clinic maintenance, including sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash cans
- Review and update patient medical histories, allergies, and preoperative instructions
- Set up patients, including EKG and blood pressure monitoring
- Provide preoperative patient education and answer questions regarding surgical procedures
