The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for setting up respiratory equipment, including therapeutics and high-tech ventilation, for home patients while acting as a caregiver and patient advocate. This role involves 24-hour coordination and requires hands-on field work, ensuring patient satisfaction and adherence to company standards.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Respiratory School and hold current state licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, along with RRT and CPR-BLS certifications. A minimum of one year of experience as a working Respiratory Therapist is required, and strong PC skills for electronic documentation are necessary.
Must be a graduate of an accredited Respiratory School Must have current Respiratory Care Practitioner state licensure in the state inquiring employment and in good standing Must be willing to get cross-licensed in other states at the company’s expense Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance in good standing At least 1 year experience as a working Respiratory Therapist is required Experience in the home care setting is highly desirable RRT certification required Current CPR- BLS certification required Must have adequate PC skills to use e-mail and update notes and other documentation electronically in a timely manner
Provides patients and family members with timely and accurate information and takes appropriate corrective actions regarding our services to ensure complete satisfaction Ability to initiate and develop good working relationships with patients, family members and referral sources is essential Ensures that the team plans daily events so as to be as efficient as possible with time management (e.g., minimizes travel time by planning routes ahead of time) Assists with the proper scheduling of set ups and follow up visits according to company policies and standards Works closely with the RT Clinical Liaisons in coordinating patient discharges Ability to properly triage problems in the field in accordance with company standards and other verbal and written training policies Ensures that the team follows proper procedures for accurate and timely documentation of patient concerns, and most importantly, takes appropriate corrective actions Maintains strong knowledge of PromptCare’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensures that they are applied consistently Ensures that the team maintains compliance to all applicable laws, regulations and SOPs at all times Fosters a culture wherein the team conducts activities with a mindset of delivering “white glove” service to the patients and family members Submits expense reports for travel at least once monthly and in a timely manner On-call responsibilities as needed Other Duties as assigned
