Provides direct patient care services including personal care, vital signs monitoring, and activities of daily living under the supervision of a licensed caregiver. Observes and reports changes in patient conditions while maintaining accurate medical record documentation.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED and completion of a nursing, medical assistant, or EMT program, or 6 months of healthcare experience. Must hold a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Provides patient related care tasks based on the principles of growth and development across the life span of patients served in his/her independent unit. Assists, observes, and reports patient changes to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation relative to the care delivered.
EXPERIENCE Other Completion of Block 1 in Nursing OR Medical Assistant (MA) OR Nursing Assistant (NA) OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) OR Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) OR 6 months of experience in the healthcare setting within the last year Required 6 months in acute care experience. Preferred
