Surgical Institute of Reading has an immediate need for a full time Sterile Processing Tech! No nights, no weekends, no holidays and no call!

• Our state-of-the-art facility has five operating rooms and one procedure room, allowing surgeons to perform procedures in the specialty areas of: Anesthesia, Gynecology, Orthopedic, Orthopedic Foot & Ankle, Pain Management, Plastic Surgery, Podiatry, General, and Spinal Surgery.

Sterile Processing Tech at Surgical Institute of Reading The Sterile Processing Technician maintains and cares for all surgical instruments. Prepares supplies and instruments for surgery cases.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1-2 years of Sterile Processing experience required, in a hospital setting preferred
• Certification preferred or must obtain within 6 months
• Experience with all types of sterilizers
• Experience in preprocessing endoscopes or willing to undergo training on scopes and pass competencies within 6 months
• Knowledge of operating room instrumentation and procedures
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed
