The circulating nurse provides direct patient care during the intra-operative phase, acting as a patient advocate and assisting the surgical team. They are responsible for managing operating room activities, supervising staff, and ensuring adherence to safety and aseptic standards.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited school of nursing with a current, unrestricted Michigan RN license and BLS certification. Previous operating room experience is required for this position.

Responsible for providing nursing care to the patient during the intra-operative phase. Performs nursing activities in the operating room where the circulating nurse is the patient’s advocate. Answers patient needs by assisting the physician and person responsible for anesthesia care. Responsible for supervising Surgical Technologists and other members of the health care team as assigned.
