The Senior Epilepsy Technologist performs complex neurodiagnostic procedures including CEEG, intracranial monitoring, and seizure testing in clinical settings. They also act as a subject matter expert, assisting other technologists and ensuring patient safety during seizure events.
Requirements summary
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Neurodiagnostic Technology program or 18 months of related experience. Additionally, 3+ years of experience as an Epilepsy Technologist and R.EEG T. certification from ABRET are required.

You'll Do: Subject Matter Expert and assist other Epilepsy Technologist with complex or unique matters. Performs the application and removal of electrodes. Reviews data for seizure activity and abnormalities. Edits data for physician review. Assists nursing staff with patients during seizures, maintaining patient safety. Performs seizure testing with patients during their events. Performs outpatient procedures such as PET, SPECT, Wada and Ambulatory studies. Performs CEEG procedures in the ICU setting. Performs intracranial monitoring in the EMU and OR. Communicates with coworkers and physicians about changes in patient status. Assists other areas of Diagnostic Neurology. On call responsibilities for EEG.
