Requirements summary
Candidates must hold a Kansas Occupational Therapist license and a BLS certification. A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy is required, while three years of experience is preferred.
DESCRIPTION: The Occupational Therapist is a key member of the rehabilitation team. The Occupational Therapist will work under the direction of the Director of Rehabilitation Services. The Occupational Therapy position will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services for goal-directed, purposeful activity to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance; facilitate the learning of adaptive skills by individuals of all ages who have physical disabilities and related psychological impairments, deficits of self-care due to age of pathology, and/or developmental disabilities. Such therapy is designed to maximize independence, prevent further disability and maintain health.
Duties may include but are not limited to: Able to work as a member of a team and also independently. Understand and follow safe work practices. Ensure that all Amberwell procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
