Provide acute, chronic, emergency, and preventive medical care to village residents under the supervision of physicians. Manage patient assessments, diagnosis, treatment plans, and health education while ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
Requires a Master's degree as a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner. Must hold current licensure in Alaska along with NCCPA, PALS, Medivac, ACLS, and BLS certifications.
Provide acute, chronic, emergency and preventive care to outlying village residents in accordance with NSHC’s mission, philosophy, policies and procedures while under the direct supervision of medical doctors in Nome.

Licensed to practice as a Midlevel in the State of Alaska; NCCPA, PALS, Medivac, ACLS and BLS certification/registration; DEA#. In addition, must maintain a current collaborating agreement with Physician or Physicians on NSHC Medical Staff.

∙View electronic monitors for prolonged periods of time
∙Lift or carry unaided 25 to 50 pounds

∙Work is conducted in a standard office environment and a standard clinical environment to include exposure to latex, biohazard or other harmful substances
∙Moderate travel is required (between 25% and 50% of the time).
∙Travel is required via large aircraft
∙Travel is required via small (less than 16 passenger) aircraft
∙Travel is required via snow mobiles, All Terrain Vehicles or boat
