Provides patient care within the scope of practice and medical center policies appropriate to the age of the patients. Functions competently and independently in both Nursing Assistant and Unit Secretary roles to meet performance expectations.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, BCLS certification, and active listing with the North Carolina Nurse Aide Registry. Candidates must possess basic computer skills and the ability to work night shifts.
Summary of Performance Expectations. Provides care within scope of practice and medical center policies and procedures, appropriate to the age of the patients served, incorporating knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life-span. Required to work and function competently and independently in both NA and Unit Secretary role in order to meet annual evaluation performance expectations.
Knowledge of medical terminology. Formal training in basic computer applications. Ability to type proficiently.
No previous experience required. Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in basic aspects of job within three months of employment date.
