The housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting hospital areas using a 7-step process while adhering to infection control guidelines. They also perform floor maintenance and maintain equipment and storage areas in an orderly fashion.
The position requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. While no prior experience is strictly required, one year of housekeeping experience is preferred.
Maintains patient and non-patient care areas, within the hospital, and keeps them in a safe and attractive condition. Actively participates in department quality/performance improvement activities and demonstrates appropriate policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.
