The surgical technician assists surgeons by preparing the operating room, managing instruments, and maintaining sterile techniques during ophthalmic procedures. They are also responsible for room turnover, stocking supplies, and ensuring accurate documentation of surgical counts and specimens.
Candidates must have a high school diploma with short-term training in an operating room setting, with formal scrub training and certification preferred. One to three years of experience is preferred, and a BLS certification is required.

The Albuquerque Ambulatory Eye Surgery Center (AAESC) is currently looking to fill the following position:
Position: Operating Room (OR) Technician (Ophthalmology)
Job Status: Full-Time (4-10hr shifts)
The Albuquerque Ambulatory Eye Surgery Center is a joint venture out-patient ophthalmology surgery center designed to provide quality care to the community.
Our staff is comprised of nurses, surgical scrub technicians, and nursing assistants who work side by side with surgeons and anesthesia providers in planning, facilitating and evaluating surgical care to patients.
We are currently looking for motivated individuals to work in our four (4) Operating Rooms and PreOp/ PACU areas. We are a fast-paced environment providing care to over 1,000 patients per month. We are a fun, talented, results driven, team-oriented group.
