The Direct Support Professional supports individuals with disabilities in their daily living, employment, and social skills to promote independence and quality of life. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, maintaining a safe environment, administering medications, and documenting progress toward personal objectives.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license. Applicants must also be able to lift 50 lbs and pass a background check.

1. Ability to communicate effectively. 2. Ability to be honest, reliable, dependable and professional at all times. 3. Ability to respond to people receiving services with dignity and respect. 4. Ability to make sound, rational judgments regarding people receiving services. 5. Ability to train and teach techniques utilized for people with disabilities. 6. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
