The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing neonatal patients, implementing individualized plans of care, and providing family education. They collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure a safe environment and high-quality nursing practice.
Requires a Montana RN license and BLS certification, with NRP and STABLE certifications required within a specific timeframe. Preferred experience includes one year in NICU, Labor & Delivery, ED, or Intensive Care nursing.
Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse) American Heart Association BLS Neonatal Resuscitation Program Provider required within 6 months and recertification required every 2 years STABLE certification within 1 year of hire and recertification required every 2 years Preferred: One year of NICU, Labor & Delivery, ED, or Intensive Care nursing experience Essential Job Functions: Collects Comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or the situation (Assessment) Analyzes the assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues (Diagnosis) Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or the situation Develops a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes (Plan of Care) Implements the identified plan of care Employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment Systematically enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice Attains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice Evaluates one’s own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines, relevant statutes, rules and regulations Interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues Collaborates with patient, family and others in the conduct of nursing practice Integrates ethical provisions in all areas of practice Integrates research findings into practice Provides leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession
