The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist manages patient drug therapy and collaborates with providers to ensure safe, cost-effective, and evidence-based care. They also drive population health strategies by identifying care gaps, implementing protocols, and supporting transitions for high-risk patients.
Candidates must hold a Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy, a Virginia Pharmacist License, and current BLS and ACLS certifications. A minimum of 3 years of clinical pharmacy experience is required, with ambulatory experience and board certification preferred.
