The Medical Physicist will provide a full range of clinical medical physics services across nine community-based clinics in the Fort Worth region. Responsibilities include supporting radiation therapy procedures, treatment planning, and collaborating with a team of physicists, dosimetrists, and residents.
Candidates must hold an MS or PhD in Medical Physics and have completed a CAMPEP-accredited residency program. A current ABR certification or board eligibility, along with a valid Texas state license, is required for this role.
The Texas Oncology Fort Worth practices provide a full range of external beam radiation therapy procedures in addition to HDR brachytherapy. Equipment in use at these locations include 1 Truebeam STx, 2 Trubeam, 7 Varian 21 iX, GE CT-Sim, Simens PET/CTs, 4 Bravos HDR afterloaders, ARIA TPS, Eclipse, and BrachyVision. The successful candidate will join our team of 9 physicists, 9 dosimetrists, and 2 physics residents in providing a full range of clinical medical physics services in support of our 7 community-based clinics. All sites share a single database for ROIS, treatment planning (conventional and SRS), 2nd check program, SNC SunCheck, Radformation applications
Eclipse, BrachyVision, and Element treatment planning systems HDR planning and treatment. ARIA ROIS SRS/SBRT procedures SGRT procedure
The ideal candidate will have CAMPEP Accredited Residency Program in Medical Physics Valid Texas Medical Board license or board eligible American Board of Radiology certification or board eligible Preferred two years of experience as a certified medical physicist Working knowledge of SRS, SBRT, and HDR Experience with Varian linear accelerators Experience with Eclipse/BrachyVision Planning system Experience with Element Planning system Strong organization and oral / written communication skills
