The pharmacist is responsible for verifying and filling medication orders, monitoring patient therapies, and ensuring medication safety within the hospital. They also supervise support personnel and participate in clinical rounds and quality assurance programs.
Candidates must hold a degree from a school of pharmacy and possess a valid pharmacist license in the state of practice. Preferred qualifications include a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree and prior experience in inpatient clinical pharmacy.

Verify and fills orders for medications, monitors patient medication therapies, provide drug information, identifies and troubleshoots potential medication safety hazards, documents all interactions for medical review, and supervises and directs support personnel.
