Thompson was founded in 1886 as an orphanage and has grown into an organization operating across the Carolinas, Florida Tennessee and Kentucky. Thompson’s continuum of care encompasses three domains: prevention, mental health services and foster care. All Thompson programs are trauma-informed and evidence-based/evidence-informed with the intention of building resilience in our clients (ages 0-18) and their families, both virtually and in person. • What will you do as a Registered Nurse Behavioral Mental Health?
• As a Registered Nurse Behavioral Mental Health you will Provide medical oversight, care, education, and guidance to the youth in your care.
• Performance will be measured by your individual outcomes, achieving your individual targets/goals, your contribution to your overall program team/department and your buy-in to the culture of the organization.
• A typical day as a Registered Nurse Behavioral Mental Health consists of medication administration oversight, Medical file record keeping, responding to client medical needs, and working directly with the psychiatrist to provide professional nursing care.
• A Registered Nurse Behavioral Mental Health should be flexible to work Full Time Nights, 6pm-6am.
• 3 12 hour shifts, including at least one weekend, one minor holiday, and two major holidays.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements: Must have a valid Driver License and meet any credentialing, licensing, and privileging standards as it pertains to the department you are in. Education requirement for this individual contributor role is: Associates Degree in Nursing or related field. No minimum # of years of relevant professional experience Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite application software, excellent written and oral communication skills. Requires a license as an RN in North Carolina. Must be able to work Nights!
