The technologist is responsible for performing polysomnographic testing, including equipment setup, patient monitoring, and data acquisition. They also perform scoring of sleep stages and clinical events while ensuring patient safety and maintaining accurate documentation.
Candidates must hold a High School Diploma or GED and possess a BLS certification. A minimum of 960 hours of clinical experience and enrollment in a BRPT-approved education program are required.
