The Medical Assistant coordinates patient flow and prepares patients for examinations and medical procedures. They are also responsible for sterilizing equipment, maintaining supply inventories, and performing administrative tasks like filing lab reports.
Candidates must hold a certificate or technical diploma as a Medical Assistant, CNA, or EMT. Current BLS/CPR certification is required, along with relevant clinical work experience depending on the specific certification held.
Location: Putnam, CT (Medical Department)
Assist with coordination of patient flow, and preparation of patients for examination and procedures. Responsible for cleaning and sterilizing medical equipment and keeping inventory of medical supplies. Must keep in compliance with all agency protocols including documenting of waived testing and controls as well as medications. Medical Assistant is responsible for some administrative functions, such as filing of lab reports. Other duties as assigned.
