The Lab Assistant is responsible for processing incoming specimens, ensuring accurate labeling, and preparing them for testing or reference lab transport. They must also maintain laboratory safety standards and manage documentation for specimen redraws and test requisitions.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two months of training in specimen collection. Knowledge of laboratory terminology and factors influencing test results is required.
