The Clinical Pharmacist monitors drug therapy to improve patient outcomes and provides accurate medication distribution. They also implement nutritional support regimens and supervise pharmacy technical staff.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree and a valid Alabama pharmacy license. Completion of a postgraduate pharmacy residency or equivalent clinical experience is strongly preferred.
Overview 2nd Shift - 7 on/7 off (72 hours bi-weekly, 10 hour shifts, 12pm-10pm) Monitors drug therapy to improve patient outcome and quality of care, recommends rational and cost-effective pharmacotherapeutic alternatives and provides accurate and efficient medication distribution. Implements and evaluates nutritional support and pharmacokinetic regimens. Supervises pharmacy technical staff.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required Education: Bachelor degree in pharmacy or doctor of pharmacy degree from an accredited university with license to practice pharmacy in Alabama required; completion of post graduate pharmacy residency or equivalent clinical experience strongly preferred. Proof of current AHA BLS must be provided or obtained by the end of the orientation period.
