Veterinary Technician - Specialty

• VCA Eye Clinic for Animals, located in Kearny Mesa, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team Location: 5610 Kearny Mesa Rd # A, San Diego, CA 92111 Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, Alternative Work Weeks, 4x10-hour shifts Salary: $25– $30 per hour (negotiable based on education, experience, and credentials) We are a fast-paced, Ophthalmology specialty referral practice in beautiful San Diego, California.

• We are currently looking to add to our team, and we are seeking an experienced Credentialed Veterinary Technician who believes in high-quality veterinary medicine with the experience and know-how to make it happen.
• The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high-quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen.
• ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Venipuncture Catheter placement Anesthesia monitoring Physical examinations and patient assessment Surgical preparation and assisting Laboratory work Pharmacy Patient recovery Compassionate care for hospitalized patients Client Communication QUALIFICATIONS: Must have documented previous experience, anesthesia experience preferred; ophthalmology experience preferred but not required Hold a current RVT license Must have surgery/anesthesia experience Flexibility and available to work Monday through Friday Customer service skills Working knowledge of computers Excellent communication skills Capable of being cross-trained as a receptionist Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments BENEFITS: We offer competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical/dental/vision and paid vacation (for F/T employees only), 401(k), generous personal pet care discounts, and more!
