The Gastroenterologist will conduct patient assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate medical records and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree and possess a valid medical license in Arizona. Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology is required, along with proficiency in procedures such as colonoscopy and ERCP.

As a Locum Gastroenterologist, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and managing a diverse range of gastrointestinal disorders. Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients with gastrointestinal issues Develop and implement personalized treatment plans Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Educate patients and their families on gastrointestinal health and disease prevention Stay current with advancements in gastroenterology practices and treatments Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Valid medical license to practice in Arizona Board certification in Gastroenterology or eligibility for certification Strong clinical skills and a patient-centered approach Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team Prior experience in a similar role is preferred Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
Procedures on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
Evening and weekend call shifts required
Daily Volume: ~8 consults, ~10 procedures
Required Procedures: Colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, EGD, and ERCP
Support Staff: 2 APPs, anesthesia
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
