The respiratory therapist administers respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies. They also manage specialized equipment and act as a resource for the Respiratory Therapy Department.
Candidates must hold BLS and ACLS certifications, with NRP preferred. The role requires the ability to perform clinical tasks such as blood gas analysis and ventilator management in an acute care setting.
Under general supervision, administers respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities. Trains and acts as a resource for Respiratory Therapy Department. This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by this employee. He or she will be required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties requested by his or her supervisor.
Works as a collaborative member of the interdisciplinary team in providing acute and critical care as prescribed.
This is a part time, 24 hours per week position.
