The pathologist will provide clinical and anatomical pathology coverage, including diagnostics for disease staging and laboratory leadership. They are responsible for collaborating with clinicians and maintaining medical records in accordance with hospital bylaws.
Candidates must hold a doctorate degree in medicine and be board certified or eligible in AP/CP. A valid medical license for the State of Nebraska is also required.
Mary Lanning Healthcare, is seeking a pathologist to join one other full-time pathologist, creating a two-pathologist team providing laboratory leadership and general pathology coverage for two hospitals in central Nebraska (Hastings and Grand Island). Responsibilities include surgical pathology, cytopathology, and clinical pathology. As a staff pathologist, collaboration with laboratory leadership and clinicians on both hospital campuses will be required. The pathologist will also have a close working relationship with the pathology faculty and departmental administrative leadership at Mary Lanning Healthcare.

Meets the obligations and responsibilities set forth in the Medical Staff bylaws of those healthcare facilities at which the Employer requires the Employee to maintain Medical Staff membership. Responsible for reporting any damage to or insufficiency of all furnishings, medical appliances, equipment, facilities and fixtures, including scientific equipment, upon discovery. Prepares and maintains medical and other records as described in the Policies with respect to the Professional Services rendered any Patient pursuant to this Agreement. Performs other duties as required.
