The Medical Coordinator acts as a liaison to schedule medical and dental screenings for children in out-of-home care. They also perform health risk assessments, coordinate transportation, and assist case managers with medical insurance and care plan development.
Candidates must have at least two years of experience in health coordination or a related field. A high school diploma is the minimum educational requirement for this position.
ChildNet, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit community-based care (CBC) agency servicing Broward and Palm Beach County. We are contracted with the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families, to provide case management support to abused, abandoned, and neglected children. ChildNet is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) and employs over 600 staff at its location in Ft Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, Florida.
This position serves as a liaison between client services, CBCIH and Sunshine Health to coordinate and schedule the medical screenings (EPSDT) and dental appointments for children in out-of-home care, and in cooperation with the Child Advocates (CAs) and Dependency Case Managers (DCMs).
• Two (2) years of experience in a Health Coordination or related field
• High School Diploma
