The Surgical Technologist prepares for surgical procedures by selecting and organizing instruments, supplies, and equipment. During surgery, they maintain aseptic technique, anticipate surgeon needs, and assist with instrument passing and tissue retraction.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and a current basic life support certification. Preferred qualifications include graduation from a certified surgical technology program or two years of operating room experience.
