The Radiologic Technologist provides timely and efficient imaging services to patients across all age groups in various hospital settings. They are responsible for performing tasks outlined in the department manual and maintaining clinical competencies through ongoing education.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and hold or be eligible for ARRT certification or Tennessee state licensure. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are required.

I.
The Registered Radiologic Technologist (AART) will provide services, timely and efficiently, at appropriate levels to all patients and in all settings served by the department. The Registered Radiologic Technologist (AART) will also perform tasks and duties as outlined in the Radiology Department’s Policy and Procedure Manual; will assist in assigned administrative tasks and will maintain clinical competencies through participation in educational and orientation programs.
Certification - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists preferred or licensure with State of TN division of Health Related Boards, or Registry Eligible.

Education: Graduate of Radiologic Technology program accredited by the Joint Review Committee for Radiologic
Technology Education (JRCRTE).

Experience: None required, 6 months or greater preferred
Good communication skills, computer skills helpful. Ability to work with others as a team to ensure quality patient care.
Involves general guidance and direction by supervisors and/or Department Manager. The Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) is expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
This position requires competence in assessment, treatment, and/or care for the age groups indicated. The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her assigned service area. The skills and knowledge needed to provide such care may be gained through education, training, or experience.
