The technician is responsible for performing and reporting laboratory procedures while ensuring accurate specimen identification and processing. They must also maintain quality control, perform instrument maintenance, and manage inventory to support optimal patient outcomes.
Candidates must have completed an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program and possess basic computer literacy skills. Temporary state licensure or national registration is required upon hire, with full licensure expected within six months.
Utilizes laboratory skills to perform and report results of clearly defined laboratory procedures assuring optimal patient outcomes. Responsible for assigned shifts and subject to overtime and call back as required. Performs other duties as assigned.
