The pharmacist is responsible for the safe and accurate distribution of medications, interpreting physician orders, and monitoring therapeutic responses across diverse patient populations. They also provide patient counseling on medication use and collaborate with practitioners to ensure cost-effective and appropriate drug therapy.
Candidates must hold a current Pharmacist license issued by the Oregon State Board of Pharmacy. Preferred qualifications include community or inpatient hospital pharmacy experience and an advanced pharmacy practice residency.

Additional Details The pharmacist will experience competing demands on their time from clinic staff and/or patients and will need to effectively multi-task and prioritize demands. The pharmacist must deal with intense situations on a regular basis. The expectation is to provide patients with exceptional customer service at all times. Additionally, within the healthcare setting, there can be a significant lack of control over the workplace, with frequent interruptions (work is often dictated by external factors) that may lead to mental fatigue or stress.
