The Medical Assistant will assist physicians and nursing staff with direct patient care and perform various medical tasks. They are also responsible for appointment scheduling, chart management, and maintaining electronic medical records.
Candidates must have completed an accredited Medical Assistant program and hold a valid Medical Assistant certification. Additionally, proficiency in venipuncture and current CPR certification are required.
Responsible for assisting physicians and nursing staff with patient care. Responsible for appointment scheduling and chart management. Performs delegated medical tasks and may perform clerical duties. Where the electronic system is in use, this position will utilize the system as documented in the department and/or FPI standard operating procedure and process; and other duties as assigned.
