Perform echocardiography procedures and collaborate with clinical staff to support diagnostic and treatment decisions. Maintain imaging equipment, ensure safety and infection control compliance, and accurately document patient reports.
Requires completion of a Cardiac Sonography training program and current BLS certification. An Associate’s degree and Echo Registry certification are preferred, with registry-eligible candidates considered.
Perform echocardiography (ECHO) procedures in compliance with established clinical and professional standards Partner with physicians and clinical teams to support diagnostic accuracy and treatment planning Review patient medical histories and deliver clear, empathetic education about procedures and expectations Prepare and administer contrast media as prescribed, while continuously monitoring patient status Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure optimal functionality and image quality Uphold safety protocols, infection control practices, and quality assurance procedures at all times Evaluate imaging data for completeness and accuracy; address and resolve any technical or clinical concerns Accurately document, enter, and transmit imaging reports and results in a timely and compliant manner Demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, and composure in a fast-paced, high-pressure clinical setting
Completion of a recognized Cardiac Sonography training program Carotid training and Associate’s Degree preferred Strong critical thinking skills and clinical judgment Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and remain effective under pressure Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required Echo Registry certification preferred; registry-eligible candidates will be considered (must obtain certification within one year of hire) Comfortable working in high-acuity, fast-paced clinical environments
