The Medical Technologist is responsible for performing specimen collection, laboratory testing, and maintaining accurate records of results. They must also ensure quality control policies are followed and maintain laboratory equipment and stock.
Candidates must have at least 60 semester hours of college credit in relevant sciences or an Associate degree, along with clinical rotation experience. Certification as an M.T. or M.L.T. by the ASCP is preferred, and candidates should possess strong communication and keyboarding skills.
