Candidates must have an MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school and be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology. An active California medical license or eligibility is also required.

Position Overview Madera Community Hospital is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologist to join our expanding medical staff. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology care in a collaborative, community-focused environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering evidence-based digestive care while supporting program growth, procedural access, and quality initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive gastroenterology care, including inpatient consultations and outpatient clinic services Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures (EGD, colonoscopy, and related interventions) Diagnose and manage acute and chronic gastrointestinal and liver conditions Collaborate closely with hospitalists, surgeons, primary care providers, and multidisciplinary teams Participate in call coverage as required Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical best practices Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology (ABIM) Active California medical license or eligibility Strong commitment to mission-driven, community-focused care Excellent communication and teamwork skills Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
