The Certified Medical Assistant provides direct patient care under provider supervision and documents services in the Electronic Medical Record. They also perform laboratory tests, assist with community education, and maintain the cleanliness and stocking of clinical rooms.
Candidates must be a Certified Medical Assistant with prior experience in a medical office or public health clinic. A valid Texas driver's license and the ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment physical are required.
General Summary Provides patient care, performs patient and community education activities. Ensures all patient information is kept secure and confidential. Must have excellent communication and people skills and work well with others.
Work Experience Must have medical office (private physician or public health clinic) experience. Education/Certifications/Licensure Must be a Certified Medical Assistant Must have a valid Texas driver's license and a safe driving record and be able to pass a pre-employment physical and a criminal history background check. If a preliminary offer of employment is extended, a physical will be required before the offer can be accepted.
