The counselor will provide trauma-informed, client-centered individual counseling to domestic violence survivors. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, safety planning, maintaining clinical documentation, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required. Candidates should ideally hold an active license such as LPC, LSW, or LCSW and possess experience in trauma-informed care.
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Counselor to provide trauma-informed, client-centered support to individuals impacted by domestic violence. This role will deliver on-site counseling services, helping clients process experiences, build coping strategies, and support their overall emotional well-being. Key Responsibilities Provide individual counseling services to clients impacted by domestic violence Utilize trauma-informed and empowerment-based approaches in all interactions Conduct assessments, safety planning, and goal setting with clients Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and case notes Collaborate with advocates, case managers, and multidisciplinary teams Participate in case review meetings and supervision Provide crisis intervention and emotional support as needed Maintain strict confidentiality and ethical standards Assist with referrals to community resources and additional supports
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field required Active license (LPC, LSW, LCSW, or equivalent) preferred (or working toward licensure, if applicable) Experience providing counseling services, preferably in a domestic violence or trauma-informed setting Strong understanding of trauma, crisis intervention, and safety planning Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively within a team Experience working with diverse and underserved populations Proficiency in documentation and basic computer systems Schedule & Work Environment Part-time: 24 hours per week On-site position (no remote work) Some flexibility may be required based on client and program needs Why Join Us?
