Perform routine radiographic and CT procedures while preparing patients and ensuring high-quality imaging for radiologist interpretation. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to radiation safety protocols and departmental standards.
Requires completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program, ARRT registration, and AHA CPR certification. Candidates must have at least six months of relevant experience and a VA State Radiologic Technologist License for outpatient facilities.
Completion of accredited two-year program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent required. ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology with documented training on the provision of diagnostic CT exams required OR, in lieu of documented training, successful and documented completion of MWHC/MIF cross-training program. American Heart Association CPR required. Six months’ relevant experience required; three years preferred. Additional Qualifications for Mary Washington Hospital and Stafford Hospital Must achieve ARRT certification in CT within six months of hire or within one year of completing MWH/SH cross-training program. Additional Qualifications for Medical Imaging of Fredericksburg VA State Radiologic Technologist License is required for all outpatient facilities. Advanced level certification by the ARRT or NMTCB in computed tomography preferred within one year after completion of CT training. Ability to tolerate irregular hours including evenings, nights, and weekends. Environmental Requirements and Exposure Hazards: Risk of exposure to radiation and toxic chemicals. Potential for exposure to bloodborne pathogens; must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
