Responsible for the assessment, treatment, and diagnostic evaluation of patients with pulmonary abnormalities. This critical care role involves managing ventilatory support, airway care, and therapeutic interventions for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients.
Requires an Associate Degree from a CoARC approved program and registration by the NBRC with a Texas Medical Board license. Must hold or obtain BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, and NPS certifications.
Must have a comprehensive knowledge of routine and critical procedures with critical thinking skills for both adults, pediatric, and neonatal patients. Thorough knowledge of Respiratory physiology and ability to practice good judgment in the implementation of clinical interventions indicated by the patient status. Possesses effective oral and written communication skills. Possesses effective interpersonal relationship skills. Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
