The MOA assists providers with clinical duties, including recording patient vitals and managing exam room flow. They are also responsible for maintaining medical equipment, managing supplies, and supporting nursing staff in treatment areas.
A high school diploma or GED is required, with a preference for three years of healthcare experience. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Nurse's Assistant (CNA) is preferred.
High school diploma or GED required Experience in healthcare preferred but not required SPECIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 pounds. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids. Requires frequent bending, reaching, squatting, stooping. SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS/TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS The employee has limited exposure to toxic substances and is expected to be familiar with the dangers and proper handling of such. The employee is exposed to communicable diseases and other conditions common to the clinical environment. Safety policies and good health practices are to be understood and observed. Work is performed in an office environment with frequent contact with staff and patients. Work may be repetitious, and in a high-stress environment. Contact may involve dealing with angry and/or upset people.
