Information: Shift based model / Weekend days (schedule comprised of at least 90% weekends) Pay Range $47.50 - $71.25 Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital is looking for an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join their growing Pediatric Trauma Surgery team. Levine Children's Hospital is the only designated level 1 pediatric trauma center in the Charlotte region and the largest children's hospital between Atlanta and Washington, DC. This is a shift-based position. This includes rotating weekends and holidays. The successful candidate should be able to perform a thorough history and physical assessment. Also, able to evaluate, assess, implement plans and monitor other co-morbid medical conditions secondary to critical illness and injury. Staff to include: chest tube placement, placement of central and arterial lines, laceration repairs and I&D etc. The APP will manage already admitted pediatric trauma patients, attend pediatric trauma codes in the Peds ED with trauma attendings, admit to the floor or ICU as clinically indicated, perform procedures and assist in the OR.
Position
Description: Teaching opportunities with residents and/or APP Fellows Education, Experience and Certifications Must have or be eligible for a DEA license. Approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state one works. Eligible for prescriptive authority application through the Board of Nursing or Medical Board in NC required. BLS for Healthcare Provider from AHA required with expiration date greater than 90 days from date of beginning practice. Demonstrates appropriate critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize and make proactive decisions. Current PALS and ATLS preferred.
