The Behavioral Health Outpatient Therapist provides clinical expertise and works with multidisciplinary treatment teams to deliver effective person-centered treatment services. They are responsible for developing assessments and treatment plans, delivering clinical services, and enhancing the quality of life for individuals with substance use and mental health disorders.
Candidates must have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least one year of clinical experience in substance use or mental health treatment. A passion and compassion for the individuals served is also required.
The Behavioral Health Outpatient Therapist (BHOT) will provide clinical expertise to Aquila of Delaware, Inc. Outpatient Program. She/he is responsible for working with multidisciplinary treatment teams for the delivery of effective person centered treatment services to person served under the supervision of a clinical supervisor. The BHOT is an effective clinician with experience in providing a variety of clinical services to persons with substance use and mental health disorders, including the development of comprehensive assessments and treatment plans, delivery of a wide range of clinical and supportive services, and working collaboratively with the treatment team and other service providers. The BHOT utilizes evidenced-based practices in regard to licensure and contractual requirements. She/he demonstrates strengths in the ability to solve problems and implement proactive interventions and responses to adults with substance use and mental health disorders for a better quality of life. The BHOT effectively contributes to and supports an environment that enhances the positive self image of persons served and preserves their human dignity.
Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, or human services field from an accredited college or university At least one year of clinical experience in the substance use and/or mental health treatment field Possess passion and compassion for person’s served.
