Requires a High School Diploma, Ohio Certified Pharmacy Technician License, and National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT). Must have 1-2 years of experience in non-hazardous sterile compounding.

As an essential member of our inpatient pharmacy team, you will help ensure the right medications reach the right patients at the right time—directly impacting the quality of care within our hospital. Responsible for inventory control through proper removal of medications from automation, stock rotation, removal of expired medications, reordering/stocking of medications/supplies when stock is low, and packaging/assembling medications for future dispensing. Ensures safe storage of medications. *Verifies quantity on hand (QOH) and adjusts inventory records as necessary; promptly reports discrepancies to the on-site buyer *When inventory counts are incorrect, updates Omnicell with the correct quantity and earliest expiration date, and escalates significant discrepancies to the buyer *Notifies the buyer of increased usage trends in medications or supplies *Identifies medications frequently expiring and recommends PAR level adjustments to the buyer for evaluation *Ensures proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and follows safety protocols when handling hazardous medications *Maintains accurate inventory of controlled substances (CII–CV), including documentation and reconciliation of records. Immediately reports unresolved controlled substance discrepancies to a supervisor *Non-24 hour Inpatient Pharmacy: takes on additional job duties, including but not limited to conducting regular inventory checks to identify and remove expired, damaged, or recalled medications, processes recalls through ONERECALL, ordering and restocking medications and supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels while ensuring no critical stock outs of essential medications, communicate with reverse distributor to process medication returns, works with buyer on drug shortages, manages EMS bag inventory. The non-24 hour inpatient pharmacy must be the primary work location to qualify for the Technician III level
