The role involves processing and grossing simple anatomic pathology specimens and providing technical support in the gross room. Key duties include specimen triage, staining slides, and maintaining laboratory organization and inventory.
Requires a Bachelor's degree and at least one year of professional experience in a surgical pathology laboratory. Preferred candidates have two years of clinical lab experience and a background in academic medicine.

We are unable to provide work visa sponsorship or employment authorization for this position now or in the future. · Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 1 year of professional experience in a surgical pathology laboratory An advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate) may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis if the degree is in a field of study directly related to the work assignment.
Preferred Qualifications: · Two (2) years of experience in a clinical lab · Prior experience in an academic medicine environment
· Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally. · Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution. · Outstanding customer service skills. · Experience using laboratory equipment such as complex machinery and staining systems. · Experience using MS Word and Excel. Preferred experience will include developing reports, spreadsheets, and databases using the mentioned software programs. · Experience entering data into an electronic system. · Experience with medical terminology, human anatomy, and physiology. · Experience cleaning and maintaining laboratories and lab equipment. · Experience working within an educational medical lab environment in laboratories.
