Job Description

Vitalant is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician dedicated to making a positive difference. Operating within a highly regulatory environment, you will contribute to Vitalant's life saving mission by performing laboratory tasks, including component production, labeling, record review and data entry. What to Expect Schedule: EVE 2:45PM - 11:15PM works e/o W/E. Shift diff for Evening and W/E applies. Perform moderate complexity testing including CMV, Hgb S testing, and operation of a cell counter. Perform high complexity testing including Antigen screens, antibody ID, and cross match. Manage the labeling of routine and special components and review criteria to determine product acceptability. Assist in reconciling reports. Associates degree in laboratory science, medical laboratory technology required. MLT certification required or qualification for CLIA High Complexity required. State license as required by regulations. One year of laboratory experience required or MLT certification or Bachelors required without lab experience.
