The Podiatrist provides routine care and diagnostic services for residents in Skilled Nursing facilities, focusing on foot and ankle disorders. Responsibilities include performing wound care, prescribing treatments, and maintaining detailed medical records.
The candidate must be a qualified Podiatrist capable of diagnosing diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle. They should be proficient in using medical histories, x-rays, and laboratory tests to determine patient care needs.
We have an immediate need to hire a qualified Podiatrist to join our team in Chicago, IL. the Podiatrist provides routine care and referral podiatric services to the Skilled Nursing residents in IL as follows:
Examines patients’ legs and feet to determine and diagnose diseases and/or care needs.
Treats bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles.
Performs wound care management.
Diagnoses diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results.
Prescribes medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery as appropriate.
Advises patients about treatment plans and foot and ankle care techniques to help with prevention of future problems.
Provides education/consultation to patients, family, and health care team members.
Provides patients with health promotions and preventive medication.
Properly maintains appropriate medical records on assigned patients, including routine updates.
Our Podiatrists are paid a percentage of revenue – the larger your caseload and workload, the more you can earn. More details will be shared during the interview process.
