The Dental Assistant collaborates with dental providers to ensure high-quality patient care, which involves setting up and breaking down rooms and equipment, preparing patients for treatment, and documenting in the electronic dental record. Key duties also include maintaining proper infection prevention practices and preparing laboratory cases.
Required qualifications include Basic Life Support (BLS), which must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment. Preferred qualifications include Expanded Functions certifications and graduation from a dental assisting program.

Dental Assistant responsibilities include setting up and breaking down room and equipment, preparing patient for treatment, documenting in the electronic dental record, preparing laboratory cases, proper infection prevention practices, and other duties as assigned.
