Candidates must be certified by the APTA and the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners. Education requirements vary from a Bachelor's degree with four years of experience to a Doctoral degree with no experience.
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our team. The pediatric PT will assess and treat infants, children, and adolescents with a variety of motor, developmental, neurological, and orthopedic conditions. Provides professional, educational, and clinical skills in organizing and directing physical therapy services and administering treatment programs. Position Key Accountabilities: 1. Coordinates all physical therapy and related orthopedic care to ensure appropriate patient treatment. 2. Conducts patient consultation, evaluation, and program planning for all patients. 3. Develops home exercise programs to instruct patients in the required exercise for treatment. 4. Reassesses patient status on an ongoing basis to ensure that treatment goals, plans, and program are appropriate. 5. Communicates effectively with patient/family to ensure knowledge of treatment plan and home exercises. 6. Develops educational programs to increase patient/family and community awareness of physical therapy treatment. 7. Assists in continuing education and orientation or new employees to increase awareness of physical therapy treatments. 8. Other duties as assigned.
